Steps to Avoid Head Lice

Please check your child's hair regularly and treat if head lice are found. Treatment is available from the chemist or on prescription (for children).

A routine weekly check is an effective measure as lice lay eggs every 7 days:

  • Wash hair
  • Condition
  • While the conditioner is on the hair, comb through with a very fine toothed comb.

If this is done every week it will help keep down the number of outbreaks in our school.
